Step 2 - Convert your files to
Or choose a different format
JFIF (JPEG File Interchange Format) is an image file format that is often used as a container for photos or for displaying images on the Web. The file itself uses the JPEG compression algorithm to shrink the size of the file whilst preserving the visual quality of the original image. It is particularly well suited for reducing the size of photos or complex images and also supports the capability to embed thumbnail images within the file for quickly previewing an image (without having to decompress the whole file). There are other file formats that use JPEG compression but are not JFIF. For example, the Exif format is commonly used in digital cameras and also uses JPEG compression, but it includes additional metadata that is not present in JFIF.
